"Quality craftsmanship in a timely manner at a fair price" is more than just a motto, for us; it's
our mission, our purpose statement, our goal for every customer, every project, everyday in
everything we do.  And it all starts with the first word, quality.

Quality is more than just a descriptive term, it is a core characteristic of every aspect of our business.  We believe that
skilled
, caring people using proven materials will craft a quality product, and we can prove it!  There are many other
companies and contractors out there that
promise to save a customer some money now on a project by offering the
"cheapest price".
And in these economic times it is quite tempting for customers to decide who they will hire to
complete their project by price alone.
The problem is that most of the time the methods that some companies use to
save money include
cutting corners, using sub-standard materials, underestimating the necessary amount of materials
or labor costs, operating without the proper license or insurance coverage
and doing an improper job that won't last
and wasn't worth the few dollars the customer "saved" at the time.  And, as is too often the case, in a few days, months
or even years when a customer needs to hire another company to come in and fix what was done cheaply and
incorrectly the first time, the total cost of a job done twice
proves to be far more than it would have cost to complete
the project the right way the first time!
It is our belief that when it comes to home improvement and construction, the
cheapest way is quite often not the best way in the long run.

No matter what the project, be it a simple repair job
, a complete remodeling project, a refinished deck, a new pole
building
or a new custom home, it takes knowledgeable craftsmen using proven and durable materials to complete a
quality project that will stand the test of time.
And when something goes wrong, as can happen in this imperfect world,
it takes commitment to quality to stand by the project and make it right.  At Marshall Contracting
we'll stand by our
work
and make it right if something goes wrong.  Ask us about our quality assurance warranty.  If you need a job done
right that will stand the test of time, you've found the right company to make it happen!

Welcome to...
Here are some pictures of the project we are currently working on near Goodells, MI just north of I-69.  This project
started out as a remodel to the original existing home on the 15 acre property.  But during the preliminary demolition
work we discovered extensive water damage to the structure that ultimately rendered the structure too damaged to
remodel or even repair.  After deciding to demolish the original structure, the family decided to move in the direction of
building a new two story cottage with a three car garage and second story 975 square foot one bedroom apartment-stylr
living area.  Construction is moving along and pictorial updates will be added frequently, so come back soon and watch
the dream become reality!  Give us a call today to find out how we can work with you to see your project through to
completion with quality craftsmanship in a timely manner at a fair price!
The septic field is in place.
The footings and the foundation walls have
been layed and the interior backfill is in place.
A look at the foundation from the
southeast corner.
The garage floor has been poured and the
first wall has been lifted into place.
All four first floor walls are in place and most
of the sheeting has been installed.  The garage
begins to take shape!
The main living space on the second floor is beginning to take shape.  The below left picture
looks toward the east end of the house where the master suite, including bedroom, bathroom
and walk-in closet will be.  Below right shows the west end of the house with the stairway along
the wall, the open kitchen on the south side and living room on the north side.  Extra
consideration and planning has gone into this project to make it more energy efficient and
affordable in the long run.  The exterior walls have been framed with 2x6 lumber to allow more
room for extra insulation, which will reduce energy costs in the future.
The second story i-joist floor system and
exterior walls have been framed and sheeted.
The roof trusses have also been installed.
