The footings and the foundation walls have
been layed and the interior backfill is in place.
The garage floor has been poured and the
first wall has been lifted into place.
All four first floor walls are in place and most
of the sheeting has been installed.  The garage
begins to take shape!
The second story i-joist floor system and
exterior walls have been framed and sheeted.
The roof trusses have also been installed.
The main living space on the second floor is beginning to take shape.  Extra consideration and
planning has gone into this project to make it more energy efficient and affordable in the long
run.  The exterior walls have been framed with 2x6 lumber to allow more room for extra
insulation, which will reduce energy costs in the future.
The gambrel roof framing is complete and
the roof sheathing is going on.
With the roof framed and sheathed, the
shingles are going on!
Windows, trim, soffit and fascia are all
being installed.
The main entry door is installed and the
"Wedgewood" blue siding is going on.
Backfill has been added and the siding
is nearing completion.
Inside, the living space is taking shape.
 Electrical and plumbing rough-ins have
already been completed.
This picture was taken while standing
in the master bedroom looking south at
the bathroom and utility closet.
Once all the work passes preliminary
inspections, sheetrock installation can
begin.
Looking west into the bedroom, we see
that the sheetrock has been hung,
mudded, taped and sanded.
What a difference the drywall makes!
Downstairs in the garage, the drywall
is up and the garage doors have been
installed.
All that remains to be done outside is
to install some lighting fixtures and this
cozy cottage will be complete!
The master bedroom is complete
with carpet and crown molding.
